DIEP flap/Implant breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy -  - Kingwood

This patient from Kingwood, TX was treated for stage 0 right breast cancer (DCIS) with a right skin-sparing mastectomy and a prophylactic preventative left skin-sparing mastectomy. At the same surgery, Dr. Chevray reconstructed both breasts with DIEP free flaps and smooth silicone breast implants to make the reconstructed breasts the size the patient desired. The patient also wanted her reconstructed breasts to lifted compared to her natural breasts, so Dr. Chevray performed breast lift mastopexy surgery on both breasts at a second short outpatient revision surgery. The patient then had nipples reconstructed, and finally had tattooing to recreate the red color of the nipples and areolas. The patient is pleased with her more perky reconstructed breasts, and with her flatter belly resulting from the DIEP flap surgery.
